Wayne "Bo" Price

Bo Price was born and raised in Fort Pierce and Port St Lucie, FL.  Bo grew up in Faith Baptist Church, an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, and attended Faith Baptist School, graduating in 1993.  Bo became Southern Baptist in 1996, attending First Baptist Church of Port St Lucie.  Bo was called into the ministry while attending a revival led by Dr. Bill Stafford in November 1996.  Bo attended The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, Florida from 1998 to 2000.  Bo joined the Marine Corps, in March 2000, and was stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC.  Bo, left the Marine Corps in November 2002, and stayed in Jacksonville, NC.  Bo met his wife Brandy in September 2004, and they were married January 1, 2005.  Bo and Brandy moved to Kansas City, MO in April, 2006, after Brandy's job with Ameri Corps Vista moved her here.  Bo is currently attending Midwestern Baptist Theological College, studying Biblical Studies.  Bo expects to graduate in December and then start on his Master's in January.  Brandy works at the VA Medical Center and is working on her Masters in Counseling at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Bo and Brandy both have a heart for military veterans, the homeless, those suffering from addictions and the lost.  It is Bo's prayer that “all will come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.”  It is Bo's desire to lead Roanoke Baptist Church to be a Great Commission and Acts 1:8 church and in fulfilling Acts 13:47  “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Bo's life verse is Jeremiah 1:4-10.

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”  “Ah, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.”  But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’  You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.  Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.  Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “Now I have put my words in your mouth.  See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
